Task Assigned:
- Animation: Animating the 3D character, blending the animations using Unity Legacy Animation System and doing code to call trigger animations during the game as scripted using a in-house dialog management system. Generating the face blenshapes and animation set up to trigger the speech animations.
- Programming: Showing a map of the game that updated itself as players visited different rooms. Switching scenes to change the background in order to reflect in which area of the map the user was. Connecting the app that managed our our Text-To-Speech interface outside of Unity to the unity executable via ActiveMQ.
Back on 2013 I started working with the Interactive Systems Group at UTEP. A research lab at my university focusing on studying new ways for computers to interact with us. This was my first game dev experience.
